Kula Shaker reformed in 2004. The Revenge Of The King EP was their first release after that, with a worldwide digital release through iTunes on 1st April 2006 that preceded the issuing of any physical formats. Subsequently 1000 10" vinyls were pressed and sold on the second leg of the band's UK tour of 2006 (which took place in May 2006) and later through just one mail-order website. Later, the EP was given a general release on CD in Japan with a bonus track. The EP received no physical release elsewhere. The cover shown is that of the Japanese CD release. The UK 10" vinyl cover is the same design with a different coloration - the face and the writing are predominantly brown, and the background is also a slightly different shade. Additionally, the UK release does not state 'Garage EP', just 'EP'.
